Executive Summary

Dawn Flitcraft is an experienced, results driven life science and healthcare executive with more than 25 years building and leading organizations toward profitable organic and inorganic growth. She began in nuclear medicine, spent a decade in the hospital setting, and moved into clinical research as the imaging industry professionalized around her — a path that gives her an unusually concrete view of what a deal actually buys.

Most recently she was President of the Ethical Review Division (WCG IRB) at WCG and a member of the executive team that brought together more than 30 acquisitions, delivering services and technology to more than 2.5 million patients across 10,000 research sites and over 4,000 trials, with year over year revenue growth of 16% and EBITDA margin of 47% from 2018 to 2020. She was named one of PharmaVoice magazine’s “2020 Most Inspiring People in the Life Science Industry.”

As Fractional Chief Operating Officer and Senior Partner at Bracken, Dawn develops and implements the operational and business strategies that carry growth through execution. For clients she advises on life science services and technology, medical imaging, due diligence, and growth and exit strategy for start-stage through mid-cap companies. Across 50-plus acquisitions she has sat in every seat — the company being acquired, the diligence team vetting the deal, and the integration lead responsible for what happens after close.

Areas of Expertise

Mergers & Acquisitions

Target review and acquisition strategy alongside CEOs and corporate development teams, from first screen through signing. At WCG this built out the clinical services organization with 14 acquisitions in three years.

Due Diligence

Operational, technical, and commercial diligence on life science services, technology, and imaging assets — assessing what a target actually delivers, not only what its numbers claim.

Post-Close Integration

Integration and change management programs run as a dedicated function rather than an afterthought. Every WCG integration under her ownership completed in 100 days or less, with employee turnover minimized and critical business knowledge retained.

Clinical Research & Operations

Global project management, service delivery, and alliance management across all trial phases and major indications, including executive oversight of large CRO key accounts and portfolios of roughly 30 projects each.

Medical Imaging & Nuclear Medicine

A career grounded in imaging — nuclear medicine training, hospital radiology supervision, applications specialist work for General Electric, and senior operating roles at three imaging core labs.

Growth & Exit Strategy

Operational and business strategy for start-stage through mid-cap companies preparing to scale, raise, or sell — including standing up new therapeutic service lines and new market entries from zero.
