Executive Summary
Graham Lumsden, BVM&S, MRCVS, is a Senior Partner at The Bracken Group and a veterinarian who has spent his career on both sides of the industry: running global franchises inside big pharma and building biotech companies from the CEO’s chair. He is also Founder and CEO of VetrixBio, which is developing biologics for osteoarthritis and cancer in dogs, cats, and horses, including a potential first-to-market disease-modifying osteoarthritis drug.
Graham began in veterinary medicine and joined MSD AgVet in the U.K., moving through technical, country, and marketing leadership roles before leading the U.S. launch of GASTROGARD at Merial. In human health at Merck he held global responsibilities for CRIXIVAN, FOSAMAX, and NUVARING, leading an osteoporosis franchise with $1.6 billion in worldwide sales and serving on the integration team for Merck’s acquisition of Schering-Plough.
As CEO of Motif Bio he in-licensed the antibacterial iclaprim, raised $125 million through IPOs on AIM and NASDAQ, and took the program through two Phase 3 trials, QIDP designation, and NDA submission. He went on to lead Biomarck Pharmaceuticals through two FDA Type C meetings and served as the first external CEO of Kibow Therapeutics. At Bracken he brings that operating experience to commercialization strategy, capital planning, and due diligence.
