Our intelligence ecosystem fulfils consulting, regulatory, marketing and analytics, an integrated and strategic approach.

Based on your own experiences, what advice would you give to aspiring professionals looking to bridge the gap between technology and healthcare?

[Paul Martinetti]

So today, I would say a couple of things. For one, those working in healthcare who want to contribute an intervention to either improve healthcare or to increase workflow efficiency, start a relationship with the FDA early and communicate with the FDA often. I think there's a lot of exciting technology going on today.

And, you know, we always like to say, oh, well, you know, the regulations falling behind. They're not that far behind, actually. And there's really a lot of great guidance out there already.

I think what we want, we want professionals to get started early on and develop their intervention with the verification and validation in mind ahead of time. Rather than rushing to put these things in front of people and disrupting workplaces. You know, with digital technology, we can we can reach a whole lot of people very, very quickly.

And if we haven't tested the contribution and confirmed that it works, that can have a really quickly have a negative impact. So I think that's my first advice would be to connect them with the regulation. So a lot of great resources out there and guidance.

A lot of folks like me who love who love to make sure that it's all done right so that we don't have to take any back steps later on. And the second thing is just to sort of think about think about our relationship with technology. Of course, we are the creators on Earth.

We are the creators of technology. And a lot of times it's been a good relationship and a lot of times it's not been so great. So I think one of the hardest parts about technology today is is when it's distracting us.

And we have to we have to try to remember that. I'm sure you probably remember when when iPads first came out, there was a huge disruption in all of the sales forces. So all of a sudden, you know, we already have our we already have our laptops and we have our integrated CRM.

But this really cool iPad is out. So a lot of sales forces put everything put the brakes on everything and just decided that we're going to dump everything in here instead. Because this is really snazzy and you'll use that.

And I think we lost a lot of direction. And again, some technologies that we get we get distracted by the by that shiny thing, if you will. And so technology will have this this tendency to today, anyway, to distract us from, from our goals.

And so I think really the best advice is stay focused on your health goals, on your business goals and get into all the details, which today look a bit more boring maybe than the technology. Right. So if I wanted to plow a field, you know, the plow is not terribly exciting.

I'm not running out and checking out the plow when I'm not plowing the field. I just want the… I just want to see the field plowed. Right.

But, so, in older technologies, I think maybe we're less exciting today. It's just they just want to play with the technology. And so I think that that's what's happening.

And I think that it's maybe relatively more exciting than the work that we have to do. So that's really just just to not get distracted, to stay focused, to have to have our business goals and our health goals drive the use of technology. Then I think we'll be best served by it.
